Hiphop Circus - ISH Dance Collective
In this explosive performance, choreographer Marco Gerris brings breaking and urban sports together with the circus discipline. A group of performers explore the boundaries of the all-encompassing elements of water, fire, air and earth.
They always challenge each other and look for a new balance of peace, energy, space and strength. An energetic show in which the performers clash with each other, challenge each other and then merge into one whole.
Everything really comes together in the dazzling Hiphop Circus. The performers play with the four elements in their movements. They are as fast as water, seem to float through the air and land with both feet on the ground. DJ Irie provides cool beats, while BMXers, skaters, breakers and acrobats show the most unimaginable combinations of movements and disciplines. You will be amazed by this overwhelming spectacle!
ISH Dance Collective
Choreographer, artistic director and founder Marco Gerris has been successfully finding his way off the beaten track for more than twenty years. Inspired by street culture, ISH brings hip-hop dance and urban sports to the theater. United by the realization that boundaries do not exist, ISH makes dance from elements that you would not immediately label as dance. There is freedom of movement when you let go of the frames: the connecting power of an open mind.
