Henri Noorlander quintet

Jazz010 starts the new cultural season of "Jazz in de Fruitvis" with a performance by the Henri Noorlander quintet. Five top artists from the Dutch jazz scene. Late bloomer Henri Noorlander presented original and energetic jazz of today with his album “Let's Go Back” (2019) and EP “New Mountains” (2023). He plays together with guitarist and composer Michiel Stekelenburg, who is known for his contributions to both the pop and jazz world. He previously played with international greats such as Marcus Miller and Damien Erskine, and national celebrities such as Eric Vloeimans and Shirma Rouse. Nils van Haften recorded over 30 CDs as a multiple reed player (soprano, tenor and baritone saxophone; clarinet and bass clarinet and flute) and performed in small groups and larger ensembles such as The Bob Brookmeyer New Art Orchestra, The Dutch Jazz Orchestra, The Metropole Orchestra, The Frankfurt Radio Bigband and the New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra. He also teaches saxophone at Codarts Rotterdam. Bassist Cord Heineking established his name in the jazz scene at a young age by successfully participating in various music competitions in the late nineties. A versatile bassist and composer who can handle both electric and acoustic. Ruud Voesten is a Rotterdam drummer and composer. In addition to his own band Ambrosia, Ruud works with Marit van der Lei, RHEIN and Evi Bosman, among others. He teaches drums at the music school in Zoetermeer and in his own studio in Rotterdam.
