Heerenhuyskamerconcert - Sage

There seems to be a revival going on around the polyphonic sung jazz repertoire, made famous by famous artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, The Andrew Sisters, The Pied Pipers and later the Manhattan Transfer. Three students at the Rotterdam conservatory Codarts, Lara Dovier, Anne-Roos Broekhuizen and Nena Jeltema, are stepping into that tradition of singing real jazz classics in polyphonic arrangements, with which they want to keep the preservation of that music and its relevance alive.

With their beautifully blending voices and timbre they take you into the romantic atmosphere of the dreamy jazz of the 20th century, with their own arrangements of songs such as 'Moon River' and 'Shiny Stockings', but also self-composed songs.

Accompanied by the lyrical and swinging guitar playing of Jadi Peperzak, they hope to give a voice to timeless feelings that everyone can identify with by singing these pieces, with themes such as love, sadness, nostalgia and connection.
