Heerenhuyskamerconcert - RPhO Academy

Starting with the 2021-2022 concert season, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra will annually invite a group of top international talents to participate in the orchestra's academy: the 'Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra Academy'. Each season, these young musicians will perform a surprising concert in the Heerenhuys.

The talents selected for the Academy play in the orchestra and are guided by leaders and other musicians. They also participate in educational and chamber music projects. The goal of the orchestra academy is to prepare the talents and to let them gain experience in orchestra practice.

Through its intensive guidance, the RPhO makes the careers of young symphonic talent future-proof and gives their symphonic careers a kick-start.

During the academic year, the musicians are also members of the Rotterdam Batavierhuis and are therefore given the opportunity to practice and rehearse in the house on a daily basis and to become part of the networks united in the Batavierhuis.

Since the first academic year, the selected talents have performed a concert in the Heerenhuys.
