Heerenhuyskamerconcert - Deurloo & Goudsmit ft. John Buijsman

Harmonica player Hermine Deurloo and guitarist Anton Goudsmit have revived their musical collaboration in recent years. In this concert, their collaboration is enriched with the musical, poetic and theatrical contributions of renowned actor John Buijsman. They pull out all the stops and put it back in neatly. And perhaps you will also get to know Kees, John's French poodle.

Deurloo and Goudsmit develop a unique repertoire, consisting of their own compositions and arrangements by Bill Frisell, among others. Their music varies from inventive improvisations to idiosyncratic grooves and captivates until the last note.

The previous meeting between John, Hermine and Anton was on 21 March in the Norwegian Seamen's Church during the presentation of the poetry collection 'Lente' compiled by Buijsman, a publication of Stichting het Park. The joy of playing was evident and the audience was treated to a flowery and lively repertoire, interspersed with recitals in which 'empathy' always seems to be central. As the icing on the cake, John surprised the audience, Anton, Hermine and himself, by singing at the top of his lungs.

Actor, musician and theatre maker John Buijsman is best known to the general public for the series, films and musicals in which he plays. But the versatile Rotterdam theatre maker also has seventeen solo performances to his name.
