Guus Pengel celebrates that he has been writing stories for 30 years. His first book Kaseko Stories was published 30 years ago. Since then he has been writing plays, songs and books. In this performance his stories come to life. The Kaseko Stories All Stars, with Jörgen Raymann, Narsingh Balwantsingh and Howard Komproe, provide music and humor. The stories are about Suriname, a country that Guus often thinks back to.
About the performance
In this performance you will hear stories about life in Suriname. The stories are about people, music and food. Like the famous dish Morjon. The performance is a celebration of music and stories about Surinamese culture and how it lives on in the Netherlands.
