Groeipijn - S10

We have great news: S10, one of the most original voices in Dutch music, is coming to Theater Rotterdam with her very first theater tour: Groeipijn (Growing Pain)! In this intimate show she shares her personal stories with us, full of expressiveness and authenticity. With her unique voice and compelling music, S10 will take you on her quest for safety and her ritual of letting go on December 15.

S10 herself says: “I want to discover my story together with the visitors. I want to tell about a young girl who has been through a lot, but has also recovered. A story full of hope, told honestly, without embellishment.” This performance is a celebration of the here and now, and of all the possibilities that lie ahead of us. Together with her regular band members, S10 brings a mix of familiar repertoire and new music. She gives us an exclusive look behind the scenes of her songs and the stories that underlie them. Prepare yourself for an evening full of emotion, music and stories that will touch you.

I want to tell about a young girl who has experienced a lot, but has also recovered. A story full of hope, told honestly, without embellishment.” When is there room for a new story? Maybe it is a ritual of letting go. Letting go of pain and old ideas, and a celebration of all the possibilities that lie in the now. Together with her regular band members, S10 partly plays familiar repertoire, but also new music. She takes you along in the creation of her songs and the stories behind them.

About S10

The 23-year-old artist S10, the stage name of Stien den Hollander, is now the crown princess of Dutch alternative pop. At the age of 17, she signed her first record deal. After her debut album Snowsniper (2019) and Vlinders (2020), which were both received with praise, she released 'Ik Besta Voor Altijd Altijd Altijd Jij Aan Mij Denkt' in 2022. With 'De Diepte' among others, with which she represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest. This album was awarded an Edison in the category 'Dutch-language' and a 3FM Award for 'Best Album'. She played in a sold-out AFAS Live last year and toured the Netherlands with a sold-out club tour. She also performed at festivals such as Down The Rabbit Hole and Lowlands, and this summer at Pinkpop and Pukkelpop.
