What does it mean in the Netherlands to relate to the concept of Afro , apart from the American cultural connotations? What is Euro-African culture when it comes to the influence of the continent

on our ways of interacting, music and culture? Think of genres like Kuduro (P), Afro Beat (UK), Rai, Gnawa (FR), Gqom (D) and Soukous (B) or artists like Shangaan Electro, Tiken Jah Fakoly and of course Fela Kuti. But what does the typical Dutch or Rotterdam Afro sound like? A mix of Gabber, Bubbling and Afro House? Will we soon get Afro Gabber, Afropiano, Ama808 or Afro Bubbling?

Grande Loge is searching for this sound. With the Gowtuspassi project, a new musical journey is made, a search for your own value, your own precious metal. From bronze to gold. Grande Loge and Cult North are jointly organizing an Afro Makerskamp! For three days, producers, songwriters and artists will work together on a new, Rotterdam Afro-sound. What will be the future of Roffahouse and Afro-dam?

Kaka Yesi, close your eyes and join this interactive listening ritual, in which the participants - guided - walk an auditory path, with a great deal of ear for detail. In this public seance - under the inspiring guidance of guru David Christelle - (possibly) new tracks from the album Gowtu… by Grande Loge are jointly presented, in which those present can give their input and make suggestions for the final selection. Gowtu… is the title of the path that Grande Loge will take over the next four years. The eyes may be closed, the ears opened. Feed the clouds, so that they may guide you!
