Gerwin van der Werf (1969) is a writer, reviewer and columnist. In 2010 he won the Turing Poetry Competition with his poem 'Misbruik'. That same year he made his debut with Gewapende man (Armed Man), after which he wrote six more novels. His work has been nominated for several prizes, including the Libris Literature Prize and Best Book for Young Adults. In addition to fiction, he has published two collections of columns and stories about education.
