From Price to Price

From Price to Price takes you past art in the public space in the centre of Rotterdam: from the temporary sculpture in front of the entrance 'Reaching Out' (2020) to the sculpture 'Moments Contained' (2022) on the Stationsplein. Or walk the route the other way around: from the Stationsplein, to the Kunsthal.

In his sculptures, Price is concerned with recognition in today's society and confronts us with stereotypes surrounding representation and identity in traditional statues, such as those on this route. This art historical journey through time shows how diverse artists' views on the human figure have been and how they played with visual languages to give the viewer some 'mental homework'.

What

Where

The route starts at the work 'Reaching Out', which is temporarily on display in front of the Kunsthal entrance during the exhibition, and leads to the much-discussed 'Moments Contained' on Stationsplein. Of course, the route can also be walked the other way around, from Stationsplein to the Kunsthal.

When

The route can always be followed independently. You can find the route here or via the booklet that is available for free at the Kunsthal, at Rotterdam Tourist Info at Central Station or at the Nationale-Nederlanden Café.

At some points the route can also be walked with a guide. The dates for these tours will be announced on this page soon.
