Freek de Jonge Vrede op aarde

In June, Freek de Jonge presented his new book De Zeeuwse Jaren in the Haarlem theatre. It was exactly 55 years ago that Neerlands Hoop premiered there.

To the surprise of the audience, Freek improvised a real conference with many accurate references to current events. A few spectators sighed that they had seen the 'old Freek' again.

It gave the 80-year-old comedian the confidence to pick up a previously cancelled tour in a slightly different form. Fewer shows, smaller venues and closer to home under the motto: Peace on Earth.
