Freek de Jonge

Freek de Jonge takes the audience on a humorous and sharp journey through his youth in Zeeland, interwoven with personal anecdotes and current reflections. A unique opportunity to experience a cabaret legend live, full of surprises, nostalgia and the sharp eye that has characterized him for decades.

Freek de Jonge is an iconic Dutch comedian, known for his sharp humor, profound observations and undeniable charm. Since his breakthrough in the 70s, he has amazed his audience time and time again with his unique ability to seamlessly combine humor and seriousness. His show De Zeeuwse Jaren takes the audience on a journey through his personal memories, exploring his birthplace with a humorous eye and deeper meaning. The laughter he evokes is not only infectious, but often also a mirror for society. We are honored to welcome Freek de Jonge to our club, a rare opportunity to experience a legend live.

The Zeeuwse Jaren will be a performance based on part three of the series of recorded memories of Freek de Jonge. In DeLaMar theater in Amsterdam he will talk about the sixties, which he spent largely in Zeeland, but which spilled over into his Amsterdam years and the first years of Neerlands Hoop. The three planned performances in DeLaMar have now been expanded to six. In addition, a try-out tour has been planned in various small and large halls in the Netherlands.

From a breathtaking overtaking race on the N57 to a hilarious attempt to follow the moon landing when television had not yet reached all of Zeeland.

He also feels free to consider the present time. An evening full of surprises once again.
