Help fold a senbazuru, an installation of 1,000 origami cranes, and contribute to a centuries-old Japanese tradition of hope, happiness and connectedness.
According to an old Japanese legend, anyone who folds 1000 paper cranes will have their wish fulfilled. In Japan, the senbazuru is a symbol of support and hope, often made to give strength to the sick or as a good wish for marriages. During this activity, visitors can fold 1000 cranes together and contribute to a joint installation. A meditative and connecting experience in which tradition and creativity come together.
