After the success of the documentary: From Mecca to Marrakesh, in which Salaheddine went in search of his identity as a Moroccan/Dutch Muslim, there is now a spectacular and long-awaited sequel to this docufilm.

In From Mecca to Marrakesh, Salaheddine investigated in a historical journey how Islam had reached Morocco, and how his ancestors in the North African country experienced this. In this new quest, Salaheddine goes a step further. A new project that he has been working on for two years. He is going all the way back to the beginning: how did Islam come into being?

In the documentary: Mohammed, How it all began! Salaheddine examines the early beginnings of this world religion to which almost two billion people now adhere. How did this faith reach the people of 7th century Arabia? And who is Mohammed?
