Elijah Fox Improvised Solo Piano Tour Pt. 2

Inspired by Keith Jarrett, all of the shows are improvised and recorded, reflecting Fox’s experiences in different cities. Fox, the Grammy-nominated pianist and producer, also tours with Yussef Dayes and just released his latest album, Analog Works for the Highways of Los Angeles.

Elijah Fox is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer from Los Angeles, CA. Fox studied piano at Oberlin Conservatory with Sullivan Fortner, Billy Hart, Dan Wall, and Gary Bartz, graduating in 2017 before moving to New York City.

He counts Elton John and Lil Nas X among his fans, and has recorded/produced for SZA, Masego, YG, ScHoolboy Q, Denzel Curry, Tate McCrae, Musiq Soulchild, Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis, J Cole and many more. He has also released his own original compositions and sample packs. Fox tours with Yussef Dayes on keyboards and was featured on 2022’s Soulection: Joshua Tree EP.

His piano composition “East Village” was sampled by Drake and 21 Savage on “Major Distribution” and reached #3 on the Billboard charts. His impressionistic original piano composition “Wyoming” went viral on TikTok and has received over 20 million streams on Spotify.

He actively collaborates as a composer and scored three songs with Dot the Genius for Entergalactic, a Netflix animated special starring Kid Cudi.

His music spans genres such as neo-soul, R&B, lo-fi hip-hop, trap, and indie rock. Inspired by pianists such as Art Tatum, Ravel, Ahmad Jamal, Scott Storch, Robert Glasper, and Erroll Garne, his sound blends elements of jazz, impressionism, and psychedelic soul. Fox also releases instrumental music under the alias @Soren Sostrom.
