Elfie is back in Walhalla! Our former maker in residence at Werkplaats Walhalla (the production house of Theater Walhalla) will perform once more with her hard-hitting protest show Op De Barricade van het Hart.

'Can I actually be happy when I'm so angry?' Elfie Tromp asks herself. In a world where injustice is still so glaring, she searches for ways to create a better world, together with you as the audience. Through this is woven a more personal, intimate story of a young woman who fights against an unjust world and at the same time has to defend her personal happiness.

The backbone of the show is formed by the protest songs that Elfie wrote with various artists, such as Sven Ratzke and Abel van Gijlswijk (Hang Youth).

Get ready for an evening of feminist punk cabaret; disruptive, fierce and unexpectedly humorous.
