The 24th edition of Umbrella presents Norway's KRISE Quartet, an experimental ensemble dedicated to exploring the unconventional through microtonal music. Drawing inspiration from musical theorists like Eivind Groven, Ben Johnston, and Harry Partch, KRISE blends elements of folk, rock, contemporary music, and club genres. Their sound goes beyond traditional tonality, creating an immersive experience by unearthing unique sounds and the intricate interplay between instruments. Alongside KRISE, two other exciting musicians—whose names will soon be revealed—will join the lineup for an unforgettable evening of innovative music.
