A musical adventure full of sensual and seductive sounds that are as enchanting as the scents and flavours of the Mediterranean itself.
We begin in Seville with music from the Renaissance by Francisco Guerrero, which expresses a wide range of emotions – from love to loss. Then we travel via Catalonia and France to early Baroque Italy, where the beautiful madrigals of Salamone Rossi welcome us. Via Rome we reach Naples, where we are introduced to the lively sounds of Da Nola, but also to Neapolitan folk music. We make a musical detour to the enchanting sounds of Croatia, after which we make the great crossing to mysterious Egypt, where traditional Arabic music takes us to another world. Finally, we return to Spain, to the Valencia of the 20th century, where Joaquín Rodrigo awaits us.
