echo_re_echo WArd/waRD / Ann van den Broek

What connects us and what repels us? And what does the distance between them do to our mutual relationships? In echo_re_echo, choreographer Ann Van den Broek and singer Gregory Frateur investigate the attraction and distance between their personal and artistic identity in order to let it resonate in strength and vulnerability. To do this, they place themselves on stage, together with musician Nicolas Rombouts and two dancers/performers.

echo_re_echo focuses on the resonance of each other's reality, mystery and fantasy. In the form of echoes, a field of tension develops in which deeply human emotions, frustrations, desires and expectations are portrayed. Reflecting on the transformative time in which we live and where fluidity, identity and physical reality compete for priority.

echo_re_echo moves on the border between a concert and a dance performance and ranges from grand gesture to silence and intimacy, both monumental and small and personal in image.
