Dutch Classical Talent Isabel Pronk

In this program, Dutch Classical Talent finalist Isabel Pronk talks about the feelings of loneliness and vulnerability that overtake a person at night. But it also gives strength when you are thrown back on yourself. Pronk displays her excellent sense of text and her talent for theater among musical guests. Neutkens wrote a new work especially for her.

Mezzo-soprano and actress Isabel Pronk takes the audience through a night in which the main character feels loneliness and darkness for the first time in a long time. With monologues written in collaboration with writer Amanda Payne and accompanied by a piano trio, this story is told through music by Astor Piazzolla, Kurt Weill and Wende Snijders, among others. Sarah Neutkens composed a new song cycle especially for Isabel that will form the middle of the night. A special concert about loneliness, strength, vulnerability, togetherness and returning to (your own) light.
