Douwe Bob ^{+ Melle}

Douwe Bob is a walking collection of contradictions, a daredevil, cocktail shaker, womanizer, bohemian, romantic, melancholic, party animal, poet, rock 'n' roller, charmer, night owl, skipper, poker player, style icon, city boy and nature lover, all united in one person. Despite this series of adventures, he is first and foremost a musician and singer-songwriter, and his folky Americana has resonated deeply with Dutch audiences for years.

The Amsterdam native is about to release a new pop album, his sixth, after his last Roots/Americana album “Born To Win, Born To Lose.” In addition to his prolific musical output, Douwe won the first edition of The Best Singer-Songwriter of the Netherlands in 2012, represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016, and has been honored several times with 3FM Awards and Edisons. In honor of his 10th anniversary, he was featured in the TV program “De Beste Zangers” in the autumn of 2023. In addition, a new documentary will be released at the end of 2023, as a follow-up to the IDFA documentary “Whatever Forever” (2013), which looks back on the past 10 years.
