Diva Barros was born in Mindelo, the daughter of a musician, she adopted the Cape Verdean heritage with conviction, and with her songs she paints, as she says, the traces of her soul and her music becomes the canvas that is her gift to the world. Her repertoire is dominated by Cape Verdean music, in which Morna, Coladeira and other Cape Verdean rhythms are played.
