Diederik Nomden - Roots

Frontman The Analogues in search of his musical roots.

In recent years, Diederik Nomden has played the biggest stages in the Netherlands, Paris and London as lead singer/guitarist/pianist of the Beatles tribute band The Analogues, but even before that he had climbed many Dutch stages.

Diederik won the Grand Prix of the Netherlands in 1998 with his band Redivider, toured with the indie bands Johan and Daryll-Ann in the early 2000s and was keyboardist in Ellen ten Damme's live band for 7 years.

But we didn't really want to tell you that. We wanted to let you know that Diederik is now coming to Walhalla with his solo work (three albums already, a fourth album is on its way). Music in the atmosphere of his examples from the late 60s (including The Beatles), the Californian Laurel Canyon scene of the early 70s (think Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Jackson Browne) and here and there a touch melancholy of troubadours such as Tim Hardin and Nick Drake who died far too soon.

With this repertoire, interspersed here and there with the most beautiful songs from his examples, Nomden plays his theater show Roots, in which he takes you along in his search for the origins of his musical roots.
