Demian Dorelli

Pink Floyd and JJ Cale may not sound like typical sources of lullabies, but their music was the first thing Demian Dorelli heard as a baby. Born in Hammersmith, London to an Italian fashion photographer and an English ballet dancer, he grew up in an artistic environment, rocked to sleep near a speaker while his father’s favorite music played. It’s no wonder that music has always played a role in Demian’s life. Although Demian Dorelli’s career has taken unexpected turns—from yoga teacher to plumber—music has remained his passion, with a focus on piano, his first love. He admires Keith Jarrett’s Köln Concerto and discovered jazz through the film Round Midnight , which deeply affected him. His first album, Pink Moon, A Journey On Piano (2021), recorded at Peter Gabriel’s studio, is a tribute to Nick Drake. His second album, My Window (2023), inspired by art such as Hockney’s works, combines music and visual art. Demian is now working on an innovative project, planned for 2024.
