DEADLETTER has been voted by you as the best performance in Rotown of 2023, so of course they also deserve a place in this year's agenda. The six-piece from Yorkshire makes energetic post-punk with the power of The Fall, the rhythms of LCD Soundsystem and the groove of Talking Heads. As if it is a matter of life and death when the beat drops for a moment, the rhythm thunders endlessly like a heartbeat. The pulsating mix of pointed guitars, funky bass lines and the resounding vocals makes the whole thing almost border on mania. Fortunately, they say that in every genius there is a little bit of madness, and there is no arguing that this band is genius.

After a handful of singles it was finally time for Heat. This EP, released in 2022, contained five unmistakable bangers. Unfortunately, an album has not yet been released, but fortunately we were kept warm with two singles in 2023. These bouncing swaggerers are guaranteed to provide a completely crazy show. Be quick, because this performance might once again have a chance to become the best of the year!
