De Toegift

The Zeeland band De Toegift is not afraid to let their pride in this beautiful part of the Netherlands run wild in their music. They combine the worlds of native poetry and contemporary indie (-rock, pop and folk) into what they like to make most: Dutch-language indie with influences from jazz. Always looking for experiment, authenticity and the perfect song, the Zeeland band plays with themes about time and nostalgia.

After a successful participation in the Popronde, their debut album was well received by Dutch listeners in 2023 and those who were there can confirm that their sold-out show in V11 was also memorable. And there is more to come — in February 2025, De Toegift will release their second album, kleine auto, grote hot wheel, via Snowstar Records. Two singles have already been released from this album, Odysseus and Liefde is Lang; in which rousing drums and guitars step cheerfully through a landscape of dreamy strings and a fluttering flute.
