A moving musical theatre performance about the Rotterdam Razzia of 1944, in which stories and songs bring the forgotten voices of forced labourers to life.
The Rotterdam Razzia of '44 Sung tells the stories of thousands of young men who were taken away during the raid and the impact this had on their lives and relatives. Master storyteller Roland Vonk and actress Daisy Hagendoorn, together with a music ensemble, perform songs that once sounded in German barracks, but then disappeared into silence. The performance touches on a forgotten history and sheds new light on the traumas and silence after the war. An impressive and musical commemoration that keeps the memory alive.
