The extremely ambitious Shirley is about to get her PhD. She wants nothing more than a top position, so that the colleagues she looks up to can see her again. But ready for her career upgrade, she suddenly wakes up on an empty, endless lawn. She doesn't know how she ended up here, but she does feel the pressure from her employer who is eagerly waiting for her somewhere.

In the grass, the ambitious Shirley meets a group of very striking colleagues with whom she always ends up in stressful scenarios. This leads to heated discussions about the struggles and deadlines that Shirley often has to deal with. The faster she wants to run, the faster Shirley is brought to a stop.

About Schwung

Schwung (2022) is a fairly unique maker's movement consisting of a wide range of disciplines: theater, mime, performance, direction, design and philosophy.

Schwung was founded by Sam van Hulst and consists of Luna Joosten, Noa van der Vorst and Gina van Os. Tom de Ronde, David Westera, Reinout Bongers and David Roos are also part of the team. They made their debut with the performance Startschot.

Schwung is indirectly guided and coached by the makers of Circus Treurdier.
