His comics have been sold more than 6 million times, not including passing them on to the next generation(s). Rotterdammer Robert van der Kroft has been a cartoonist by profession for more than 50 years, drawing for Disney in Donald Duck, but is best known for his creation Claire and the duo Sjors and Sjimmie, which he quickly turned into two multicultural hip-hoppers.

Robert now leaves his drawing board for a while and comes to Valhalla for a revealing theater lecture about the development of the comic strip from the beginning of the last century to today, and in particular of course his own experiences of the past 50 years.
