De Eeuwige Jachtvelden - Mevrouw Ogterop

Love in the middle of a mountain of misery.

Mrs. Ogterop comes to visit Valhalla again. The idiosyncratic Drenthe production house with strong performances has now become a permanent fixture in our programming. You previously saw De Kant Van Ada and I Would Rather Be Angel at Walhalla. This season, Mrs. Ogterop is back with The Eternal Hunting Fields, based on the novel by Nanne Tepper.

In the performance you follow the lives of the children Lisa, Anna and Victor who grow up in a desolate village in the countryside. The atmosphere in the family is determined by a father who drinks heavily and a mother who tries to flee her family. Despite this, or precisely because of this, the children feel firmly connected to the nest from which they come. Despite all the misery, they keep love in their sights.

The press about previous performances by Mrs. Ogterop:

“It is a strong debut from a new production house, thanks to formidable acting and a sharp text.”* – NRC about I Stood in a Cunt Performance But My Hair Was Very Good ★★★★

“Mrs. Ogterop is putting herself on the map as a player to be taken seriously.” – Theaterkrant about I Would Rather Be Called Angel

"I would rather be called Angel" is a well-played carousel of social expectations.” – De Volkskrant about I Would Rather Be Called Angel ★★★★

“Lotte Dunselman and Wouter van Oord place the characters phenomenally in a pattern of fantastic directing effects. It is an obsessive experience, how they drag their figures into reality as part of a hermetically cemented process of play, facial expressions and intonation.” – Dagblad van het Noorden about I Would Rather Be Angel ★★★★★

“A true tour de force.” – Theaterkrant (Critic's Choice) about De Kant Van Ada

“Dunselman portrays a vulnerable and empathetic character.” – NRC about De Kant Van Ada ★★★★
