He's been heavily on drugs. Technically, he should have been dead. Rachid Larouz kicked the habit and found his way back up from scratch. But still a lot of stuff to clean up. How that all went (and goes..) he tells in 'De Doorstart van Rachid'. A cabaret evening full of humor, at the same time completely honest. About having no money anymore. Trying to make up with your son, your family, with everyone actually. It's true: from the bottom, it can only go up. And fortunately, there's still plenty to laugh about. About camels, crazy taxi customers and celebrating Christmas soberly. Living with three men in a Bijlmer flat. Working at a black school. Serious shit, but when Rachid tells it, it's also a hilarious and cheerful account of getting up and going on. A lively story that makes you laugh but also touches your heart. And it all really happened. Come and see it, and believe it. It'll give you a good feeling too.
