The name Dareyn, which means 'two worlds' in the Ottoman language, perfectly reflects the unique musical journey this ensemble undertakes. By combining the mystical sounds of the kemenche - rooted in the musical traditions of Istanbul and the Silk Road - with the deep resonance of voice and piano, a contemporary interpretation of an age-old heritage is created.

Echoes of the Silk Road is a dynamic collaboration between three female artists from South Korea and Turkey. This extraordinary combination of Korean, Turkish, Western classical and jazz music creates an enchanting symbiosis of musical traditions. Emine Bostancı brings the Istanbul kemenche to life in a way that is rare and compelling. This traditional string instrument, played by pressing the nails against the strings, demands unparalleled technical mastery. With fewer than thirty professional players worldwide, Emine is a true master. Her playing is able to evoke deep emotions; her kemenche whispers, sings, cries and cheers. She breaks boundaries by using the instrument in surprising ways, even as percussion, creating a unique sound world that touches the listener to the core the heart.

Lina Lee brings an almost spiritual dimension to the music with her voice and Korean percussion. Her intense performances leave the audience breathless, while her poetic singing resonates deep in the soul. Lina's percussion playing forms the rhythmic backbone of Dareyn, on which diverse musical styles are combined. naturally come together to form a harmonious whole.

Miran Noh shines through her virtuosity on the piano and synthesizer, her intuitive mastery of complex rhythms adding a silky layer to Dareyn's unique soundscape.
