Dagprogramma: Educatiesymposium Nature of Knowledge

The ecological crises are changing the spatial and material realities within which design operates. They require a reorientation of design priorities and a rethinking of the tools we use to achieve this. Systemic change requires not only a transition in construction and materials, but also a transition in our values and frames of reference. Which educational forms and practices acknowledge the systemic challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss and increasing social inequality, and enable us to imagine collective futures differently?

In the context of IABR 2024: Nature of Hope , the Nature of Knowledge symposium brings together experimental and hopeful pedagogical projects that critically reassess the knowledge and skills designers need to think along, co-design and build alliances with. During this symposium, we celebrate inspiring pedagogical initiatives that seek transformative ways to shape our living environment spatially, materially and justly with care and respect for the earth, its landscape and all its living forms.

The symposium consists of a day program and an evening program. Tickets for both parts can be ordered separately. Information about the evening program can be found here .
