Customs ^{+ Affaire}

The driving, melodic post-punk of Belgian band Customs menaces and pulses, finding a special calm in the manic energy of their sound. Combining dark post-punk with melodic alt-rock, they don’t shy away from occasionally foraying into other genres with pop-oriented choruses—a sound that is unmistakably their own. The four members learned everything about making music, touring, and “being a band” in the punk/hardcore scene that flourished around the turn of the century. Formed in 2008, Customs is back after a long hiatus to once again throw themselves into the chaos, dominate the stage, and reshape the post-punk of 2025, rediscovering their DIY punk roots from almost a quarter century ago in a new form of pop music.

With two new singles and a promise to release fresh music every month, Customs returns with renewed energy. Their debut album went gold, and their second record brought them to major festivals such as Pukkelpop and Lowlands.
