CocoRosie uses playfulness and humor as tools to break taboos, defend human rights and question social norms. With their unconventional approach and unique sound, the duo has gained wide recognition, although they are not always fully understood. Yet CocoRosie remains an uncompromising and carefully created multi-dimensional art project that has flourished for over two decades. Their eccentric lo-fi pop combines elusive poetic lyrics, timeless harmonies, beats made from toy sounds, classical instrumentation and genre-defying rhythms.

Sierra Casady, a classically trained opera singer and theater actress, teams up with her sister Bianca Casady, an acclaimed poet, theater director, and visual artist. Together, they weave music, theatrical movement, character studies, fashion, and contemporary art into a body of work that embodies both the beauty and sorrow of shared human experiences. With seven studio albums to their credit, CocoRosie is gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated eighth album in spring 2025.
