Circus Treurdier - Wendy Pan

Made the wrong comment? Didn't buy a present? Your old mother hasn't called in months? Walked past a beggar with a stony face? Have you booked a nice flight? Admit it: you feel guilty all day, don't you?

Wendy P. carries her conscience like a millstone 24/7. Her crushing guilt begins to weigh heavier on her every day. When she lies in her bed at night and carefully calculates everything, she comes to one conclusion: it is all her fault. She is the spider in the web of suffering that she has spun around herself.

Is there forgiveness for Wendy? Or is there anyone who can give her a hard time for goodness sake?

The theater makers of Circus Treurdier come up with a newly written music theater performance about a nagging but addictive feeling of guilt. Full of desperate apologies, affected lamentations and sweaty guitar music. And occasionally a good beating.
