Chocolat

Chocolat (2000) is a romantic film that tells the story of the young mother Vianne Rocher and her daughter Anouk. Vianne appears to have magical gifts by choosing the right kind of chocolate for each inhabitant. The strictly religious, stubborn villagers from the black stocking village melt for her. Their hidden desires come out and everyone seems to become more open and free. The conservative mayor sees his power disappear and starts fighting against this renewal. When suddenly a handsome stranger appears in the village (Johnny Depp), who triggers all kinds of things in Vianne herself, this is only the beginning of a very passionate relationship. The film is spoken in English and has Dutch subtitles.

Don't like chocolate bonbons? Then don't come to this show. The film is chock full of chocolate. And that's what you get, homemade bonbons identical to the ones in the film. SWEET. We serve it with tea and savory sandwiches. All sandwiches are vegetarian.

What you see is what you eat. At exactly the same time, you eat what is eaten in the film. The culinary script of Cinema Culinair is leading for the chef and the service. Good film + good food + great timing. The punch line is in the latter. An example. If a bonbon passes by at minute 29 and 19 seconds in the film, we want our guests to be able to taste it at the same time. A minute earlier or later determines the difference between good and fan-tas-tic! Ultimately, it is about not only seeing or hearing that film, but also tasting and feeling it.
