Amsterdam’s Cero Ismael weaves his Surinamese, Dutch and Indonesian roots into an experimental mix of alternative R&B, hip-hop, indie and electronic textures. His melancholic yet hopeful sound feels like a nighttime stroll through a city—raw, introspective and beautifully imperfect.

After a string of standout singles, it’s now time for his long-awaited debut album, due out in April 2025. This ambitious trilogy reflects his artistic vision, breaking stereotypes and approaching themes such as mental health with unvarnished honesty. With vulnerability as his greatest strength, Cero lifts his audience out of their everyday lives and leads them to a deeper emotional connection.
