Burst Your Bubble

On Friday 11 October, you will experience the power of visual language and deaf culture in Theater Babel. Sencity Festival, Possibilize and Rotterdam Onbeperkt join forces and present a special program during Accessibility Week. Deaf performers and artists take you on a journey of discovery. Burst Your Bubble challenges visitors to break through their own barriers and open themselves up to new experiences and encounters. Step out of your bubble and into a world of visual language.

What can you expect?

Deaf makers Boaz Blume and Gerda Kreeft have put together a surprising, sensory stimulating and multidisciplinary program in collaboration with Theater Babel. Immerse yourself in a world in which deaf performers and artists let you experience the power of sign language and deaf culture. Experience an evening-filling program in which visual art, comedy, poetry, dance and theater burst your bubble.

Accessibility:

Spoken Dutch does not play a role in this program. In parts where Dutch Sign Language is used, it is determined from an artistic point of view whether or not this is translated (written Dutch or voice interpreter). Theater Babel is wheelchair accessible and equipped with a disabled toilet and a low-stimulus space.
