Boekpresentatie Jan Wagner

In the foreseeable future, Jan Wagner will be eighty-five years old. He will have lived in Rotterdam for seventy-five years. It was not a boring life. On the contrary. It has not always been along lines of gradualness, so there are enough reasons to report something that is worth putting on paper.

Hence this book.

Wagner's chronicle tells the story of his life from his false start in The Hague in 1940: about his youth in Scheveningen; about growing up in bombed Rotterdam; about his studies at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Amsterdam; about his sports experiences; about his teaching and about his life as an artist.

As with his previous collection of Travel Stories, the book is edited by Kees Lafeber, who also wrote the foreword.
