After 6 years of radio silence, it will finally happen again this summer: Blowbeat will once again rock the Dutch stages. With their well-known recipe: energy, speed, surprise, madness and above all lots of groove. So of course GROUNDS cannot be missed.
Blowbeat, led by musical jack-of-all-trades Ton Engels, was formed in the early 80s and played endlessly after that, mainly in Germany. After 2000, the band operates irregularly, and at a slightly lower frequency: band members Leendert Haaksma, Arthur Lijten and Eric Coenen all play as session players for various national (and international) big acts (Anouk, Anastacia, Manfred Mann, Ellen ten Damme, to name a few). That makes it virtually impossible to be permanently active as Blowbeat. But the old blood keeps crawling where it can crawl: six years ago, Blowbeat last toured the Dutch fields, but now it's time to rock again! Before they open the Bospop meadow in July, they will first visit GROUNDS to make us dance. Because we have to move forward, standing still is not an option.
