Fere is a world-famous trapeze artist with wings. At least, that's what she claims. Journalist Jack Walser wants to expose her during an in-depth interview for her series The Biggest Scammers in the World. But when Jack enters Fere's dressing room, her rationality proves unable to withstand the legendary storyteller that Fere is. She talks about her childhood in a brothel, about how she ended up in a cabinet of curiosities and how she learned to fly. Jack becomes so captivated by Fere that she joins the circus as a clown. Thus begins a wonderful journey - from London to St. Petersburg deep into the Siberian tundra - in the hope of finding an answer to the question: is Fere reality or a fiction?
