Bird calls DoelenEnsemble brings birds to life in a changing climate

Just like Olivier Messiaen, the Brazilian Pio Coelho wrote down bird sounds. The work was completed in 1920, including a special collection of flutes that can imitate birds: the Birdbox. This bird song is in stark contrast to the deconstruction that takes place in Thierry de Mey's violin concerto. Plainscapes symbolizes what threatens to remain if we are not careful: vast barren plains, in the rarefied sounds of Pēteris Vasks.
