Billiam & The Split Bills

Billiam

Billiam has been releasing records since 2020, both independently and on labels such as Goodbye Boozy, Erste Theke Tontraeger, Warttmann Inc, Under The Gun and Legless Records, jumping back and forth between endless sounds of drum machines, blown out synthesizers and screeching vocals counting down. stories about Sonic The Hedgehog, cardboard boxes and autism spectrum disorder. He records everything himself and plays it back out of sheer boredom and fear, in a mad scientist way, to keep his particular brand of 'autism core' going.

His most recent LP, Animation Cel, is his most complete yet, with an endless barrage of idea after idea that's out of sync with itself and trying to get to the next sound faster than the last. With faint warmth and harsh feedback in a soup whose aroma can melt two states with an equal number of songs about picking your brain and Knuckles the Echidna

Billiam & The Split Bills formed on New Year's Eve 2022 when a group degenerated in their early twenties with the sole purpose of making a bunch of stupid noise as quickly as possible, blasting the sound of the records to Mach 51 speeds, blasting through song after song with only but pauses for strange improvisation and an endless barrage of Brechtian alienation.

Nospray

This evening is presented by Nospray, a Rotterdam DIY collective with a keen ear for the most exciting bands of tomorrow. Uncompromising and punk, with both a love of music and work ethic, Nospray's lineup pays equal attention to innovators in guitar music as it does to underrated bands from the past. The local music scene is booming faster than ever since Nospray arrived, and that's no coincidence.
