Big Sleep
Big Sleep brings an infectious mix of indie pop, alternative rock and post-punk, drenched in driving rhythms and melancholic guitar riffs. After a stormy year of tours and international attention, their latest EP Stay Put Sunshine shows that this band is far from finished.
Big Sleep are a band that formed as organically as their sound was shaped. The four members met at school and in Dublin’s vibrant live scene, where their infectious indie pop quickly took shape. Their music draws influences from alternative rock, post-punk and soul, with driving rhythms, layered guitar riffs that yearn for a climax and vocals reminiscent of The Libertines. The result is hopeful and compelling—sunny yet with a hint of melancholy, like a clear sky with just a hint of sadness drifting through it.
The past year has been a rollercoaster for the four-piece. Since their debut EP, they’ve toured with Somebody’s Child, gained international radio airplay, and landed spots on major Spotify playlists. With their latest EP Stay Put Sunshine due in late 2024, the year ahead looks set to bring even more good things for Big Sleep.
