Benefietconcert

Sinfonia Rotterdam plays the overture to the famous operetta 'Die Fledermaus' by Johann Strauss and the festive Italian symphony by Felix Mendelssohn. Violinist Niek Baar as special guest brings Beethoven's violin concerto to life, all under the roof of the historic church in the center of Rotterdam.

B for You Foundation

The B for You Foundation has been offering mentor programs for 22 years for children/young people (mentees) between the ages of 6 and 16 who need extra support due to various circumstances. The foundation does this through various mentor programs in the Rotterdam region and surrounding areas. The volunteer mentors (from 18 years old) have an appointment with their mentee twice a month for 1 year, which they use to work in a relaxed manner on their talent development, dreams or the questions they have. The most important thing is 1 on 1 attention!

B for You believes it is important that children discover what they are good at, develop more self-confidence and a positive self-image and enjoy learning new things. Investing in children who do not naturally have the socio-emotional, economic and learning environment that is stimulating is important. Unfortunately, there are many children in Rotterdam who do not receive help in developing and utilizing their talents. This can, for example, ensure that these children do not fully develop, run risks with regard to school development, do not build a social network and do not find their place in society. The B for You Foundation stands for Growth through attention by volunteer mentors with a mission.
