Belinfante Quartet Kamermuziekvereeniging
Parallel 40 is a paean to discovery and connection, collecting and arranging music from the various countries and regions located on the 40th parallel.
Growing up on the island of Menorca, the cellist of the Belifante Quartet became aware of something that made a great impression on him: the 40th parallel in the Northern Hemisphere. 'An imaginary line that connects Menorca at this latitude with several and distant places on the world map.'
The Belinfante Quartet will also perform Benjamin Britten's Third String Quartet, which looks at the importance of place, life and death. The ensemble has taken Britten to its heart and previously made a big impression with performances and recordings of his Second String Quartet
