Becoming Led Zeppelin

Documentary about the early years of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, made with the cooperation of the surviving band members. A story about four men and their love of music. For the first time, a filmmaker was given permission by the members of Led Zeppelin to make a documentary about the group. As a result, director Bernard MacMahon also gained access to the personal archives of the band members. Becoming Led Zeppelin focuses on the early years of the band. In the sixties, the later band members of Led Zeppelin played in small clubs in Great Britain. A meeting in 1968 would ultimately change their lives. In that year, the band was formed that would later write pop history, with Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham. In Becoming Led Zeppelin, the story of the early years is interspersed with numerous live recordings, including much rare and previously unseen material.
