Baroeg On Tour @De Beuk: Metal Battle voorronde Zuid-Holland
For years, Baroeg has been the stage for the South Holland preliminary round. And for the Veldslag West that will be fought on Saturday 22 March 2025. But first the preliminary round. Because Baroeg is currently 'on tour', the Metal Battle will take place this year in Poppodium De Beuk in Barendrecht.
Through an extremely careful selection procedure, four bands from our own province have been selected. In short, an excellent moment to see which talented bands are on the verge of breaking through. The jury will have a tough time with this again.
Ann My Dice
Rotterdam's Ann My Dice has been working hard since 2012. The quintet plays metalcore with thick riffs and catchy hooks.
Ditch
For fat sounding stoner, The Hague's Ditch is a name to be reckoned with. Inspired by bands like Kyuss and Fu Manchu, the trio sounds swampy, groovy but above all heavy.
Phrasing
Started as a cover band but since 2020 this foursome has started working on their own material. Phrasing stands for banging hard rock with the necessary metal influences and solid female vocals.
Redikin
Redikin from the area of The Hague/Delft was also present last year. The idiosyncratic poppy metal was already noticeable. Let's see if the jury can discover progression in these big boys.
Winner of Metal Battle to play at Baroeg Open Air 2025
The eventual winner of the Metal Battle can be seen later this year at Baroeg Open Air 2025, among other events.
