B’Rock Orchestra en Jeanine De Bique Venus

The programme was put together by researcher Yannis François and covers a century of music from all over Europe. Famous composers such as Rameau, Purcell and Handel are alternated with surprising (re)discoveries by Desmarest, Sarro and Legrenzi, among others.

Each piece in this programme highlights a different aspect of Venus – seductive, powerful, tender or mysterious – and together they form a musical portrait of love in all its guises.

Jeanine De Bique

Trinidadian-American soprano Jeanine De Bique is praised worldwide for her colorful voice, expressiveness and stylistic flexibility. She shines in baroque, classical and contemporary repertoire, and made her international breakthrough with her album Mirrors, awarded with the Edison Klassiek and Opus Klassik Award, among others. In addition to opera houses such as Opéra National de Paris and Staatsoper Berlin, she is a much sought-after soloist at international concert stages and festivals.
